ART THERAPY SESSIONS

What happens in an art therapy session?

Each art therapy session can be different, it is client led. This means the session is dependent on the client's needs and situation.

With that said, the overall structure of the session is reflected in the steps below.

CHECK-IN

ART-MAKING

ART-MAKING

The session starts with a check-in. This is an opportunity to reflect on your current emotional and mental state, and to share any significant events or challenges that have arisen since our last meeting. We may also discuss the specific therapeutic goals we aim to work on during this session.

ART-MAKING

The core of the session involves art-making, which can take up most of the time. However, the duration can be adjusted to suit your specific needs. You'll be encouraged to use various art materials to express your emotions and feelings. This creative process can tap into your subconscious mind.

DISCUSSION
